One of my favorite foods is sushi, and today’s post focuses on this really cool sushi restaurant that I went to-Kura Revolving Sushi Bar. Kura has eight locations in the state of Texas-one in Austin, one in Sugar Land, two in Houston, one in Katy, one in Carrollton, one in Plano, and one in Frisco. I went to the location in Frisco with my mom and here’s what we got!
Kura is a revolving sushi bar-it has a conveyor belt sushi line where you can simply take your favorites and eat them. Kura also charges by the plate
The Texan roll is sushi but instead of raw fish it has either raw beef or very rare beef, hot sauce, and Mayo. It was a little bit spicy at first but I got used to it.
We got two of the Hokkaido scallop roll, which tasted pretty good despite it being raw scallop
Of course I had to get a classic salmon roll
I tried the inari roll, which is different in the sense that they use tofu instead of seaweed
We got the tuna and salmon yukahoe, which is a gunkan roll with an egg yolk
The tamago roll was a lot sweeter than I expected it to be, but it was still tasty.
The masago roll was so tasty-lots of little caviar bits.
Seared salmon roll with kewpie mayo
Seared eel roll
Loving the self checkout tablets and the gachapon machines!
Kura is definitely something you need to check out if you’re ever in Texas and love sushi.
